Advertising is traveling down a whole new road thanks to new and innovative technologies available today. Instead of having to pay for the costs of printing, putting up and tearing down a single, static advertisement on a traditional billboard, with an electronic sign you can change content at the speed of light. You can add movement and sound, use dynamic content to keep your audience interested. Target a specific audience by scheduling certain ads to run at specific times of day. Make the most effective use of your real-estate by exhibiting multiple clients.
NetSched is a family of products with the goal of scheduling multimedia elements to to play on a remote sign. Multimedia elements can consist of virtually anything the World Wide Web has to offer today, including the following:
· Simple or dynamic HTML based (web) pages, XML
· GIF and JPG still images
· Animated GIF images
· Macromedia Flash and Shockwave animations
· QuickTime movies
· Microsoft AVI elements
· MPEG movie clips
· audio files (automated audio programs)
With NetSched, you won't have change or convert your existing media elements. Graphic and video artists do not need to learn a new set of tools or programs. NetSched creates, stores and plays schedules for remote signs. You can continue to use your favorite utilities to create the multimedia content you wish to have played, and use NetSched to accurately and remotely schedule those elements for playback. This keeps you productive by allowing you to utilize the skills and tools that you already have!
A registered owner of NetSched will be assigned a single User ID and a Project ID for each sign you wish to control. You use the Generator to create and maintain content for each sign, and transfer that information via the Internet to the Player. The remote signs (using Player) then obtain their content from the Generator whenever new schedules are uploaded.
There is no upper limit to the number of remote signs a given client may own, hence, the NetSched system can be expanded almost infinitely! This gives you great expansion capabilities without having to redesign or upgrade infrastructure to support it.
Remember: no special infrastructure is needed for NetSched. If you can access the Internet, you can use NetSched!
